IMPORTANT: Anyone attending a training session or Open Water Session for the first time since 29th March 2021 MUST complete a Return to Play Form.
Adult members can complete the online form. Junior members must complete the Young Persons Return To Play form and email it to the Covid Officer in advance.

Also these sessions unfortunately are only open to members aged 18+ due to the coaches not being DBS checked. Tri-Anglia Sportspark Swim Session procedure All members attending these sessions need to be aware of the following procedures;
  1. All members returning to coached sessions are required to complete the return to play form (This needs to completed online https://tri-anglia.club/covid-19-return-to-play-form/ ). This is required only once and covers any types of training session - you don't need to complete the online form if you have already complete the 'paper' form since the end of March 2021
  2. Members must be aware the coach will ask set questions at the beginning of each session, relating to covid-19, you must respond honestly
  3. Members attending the session must remain socially distanced throughout the session
  4. In accepting the invite and attending this Tri-Anglia swim session members confirm these items:
    • Has not had confirmed COVID-19 infection within the last 5 months, or if they have Medical advice has been sought and confirms that they may return to training.
    • Has not had exposure to anyone with confirmed or suspected COVID-19 within the last two weeks.
    • Does not have any underlying medical conditions that makes them more susceptible to poor outcomes with COVID-19 without approval from their medical practitioner.
    • Does not live with or knowingly comes into close contact with someone currently "shielding".
    • Confirms that they have read and understands the information presented in the BTF COVID-19 Returning to Training information - https://www.britishtriathlon.org/return-to-play/individual-training
    • Will communicate to the swim session coach if they develop COVID-19 within 7 days of attending a session. If you do not have their details, please contact Cedric @ ueatraining@tri-anglia.co.uk and Gordon @ ueaswimming@tri-anglia.co.uk
  5. Swimmers to arrive already ready for swimming – This is to allow us to commence training @ 6:30, not for COVID reasons
  6. Swimmers are required to queue outside the rear pool fire exit, from the car park.
  7. Swimmers will gain access to poolside directly from outside via the fire exit under the competition scoreboard.
  8. Swimmers will need to remove outdoor footwear on a large poolside mat at the fire exit, before entering poolside.
  9. When the swim session has finished you are now allowed to use the showers and changing room.
  10. We have a max of 7 swimmers per lane, meaning session capacity is 28.
Lane 4 (L4) capable of repeating 100m off 1:30 to 1:40 Lane 3 (L3) capable of repeating 100m off 1:40 – 1:50 Lane 2 (L2) capable of repeating 100m off 1:50 to 2:00. Lane 1 (L1) are capable of swimming 100m in 2:00 - 2:15 and operate off recovery times rather than turn around times. Josh Crosley coaches both Tuesday and Thursday mornings. An adult swim session with a max of 20 swimmers, between 4 lanes.  Most weeks, this session will be coached by 2 coaches. The speed for the lanes will be set on the evening depending on the swimmers attending, but there will various speeds for each lane to accommodate members of all abilities. Please bring your pull buoy, kickboard, fins and paddles to every session if you have them. This swim session will consist of a warm up, drills/techniques, main set and cool down. Entrance to the pool will be via the Fire Exit  near bike racks and leave the pool via the Fire Exit at the back of the pool. If driving to the school, try to park in the car park from Albermarle road to avoid being locked in. Swimmers  to arrive swim ready and will be directed by the coach to poolside where they will get changed and enter the pool once instructed. Changing rooms and showers are now available. Do not forget to bring your membership card as it contains emergency contact details as well as medicals. Wednesday Night Run Training session.   All members of all abilities welcome This week's session will focus on sprinting;  starting with  dynamic stretches to warm up, main set of sprints and changes of pace and then a cool down to include a longer recovery run and static stretches.  Meeting at Carrow Road stadium, outside the Canaries shop, Norwich, NR1 1JE a few minutes before 6.30pm. Parking at Riverside or Morrisons (Albion Way). NB The stadium car park is not available. Coach contact details: 07885 722030, tony hatton-gore@rewardhr.net The aim of these sessions are for members to build confidence, improve running fitness and technique and help or include with training plans and with the benefit of  training alongside other members of the club.  Each run session will vary to include sprint efforts, drills, threshold efforts, hill efforts and tempo/fartlek efforts and out and back runs where you may wish to monitor improvement. These sessions are open to all abilities, please feel free to come along and give them a go. Wednesday Run Training Session (Carrow Road, outside Canaries shop, Norwich NR1 IJE)

Beccles Lido Swim Training Session  The use of the pool is 3 single lanes to enable members to continue to swim at the lovely lido. There will be 3 lanes,  based on the speeds below. The 3 lanes used by the club are the furthest 3 from the changing room side of the pool. Please note - the heating for the pool will be turned off at the end of October, it will then become non coached cold swim, if members wish to continue, until the temperature drops below 11c, then it will cease, until April/May 2022.  This session will be coached on dates specified by Deborah Lloyd.  A session plan will be available to follow, when a coach is not available, this will include a warm up, drills, main set and cool down. Each lane is based around a time ability per 100m. These are Lane 1    2.10 - 2. 35mins (furthest lane with steps) Lane 2    1.50 - 2.10mins (middle lane of three) Lane 3   1.30 - 1.50mins (last lane of three) These times are approximate and can be subject to change at each session. Swimmers to arrive swim ready and follow the one way system to the chairs at poolside. Outdoor showers and changing rooms will be available after the session. An adult swim session with a max of 20 swimmers, between 4 lanes.  Most weeks, this session will be coached by 2 coaches. The speed for the lanes will be set on the evening depending on the swimmers attending, but there will various speeds for each lane to accommodate members of all abilities. Please bring your pull buoy, kickboard, fins and paddles to every session if you have them. This swim session will consist of a warm up, drills/techniques, main set and cool down. Entrance to the pool will be via the Fire Exit  near bike racks and leave the pool via the Fire Exit at the back of the pool. If driving to the school, try to park in the car park from Albermarle road to avoid being locked in. Swimmers  to arrive swim ready and will be directed by the coach to poolside where they will get changed and enter the pool once instructed. Changing rooms and showers are now available. Do not forget to bring your membership card as it contains emergency contact details as well as medicals.   2. Members must be aware the coach will ask set questions at the beginning of each session, relating to covid-19, you must respond honestly
  3. Members attending the session must remain socially distanced throughout the session
  4. In accepting the invite and attending this Tri-Anglia swim session members confirm these items:
    • Has not had confirmed COVID-19 infection within the last 5 months, or if they have Medical advice has been sought and confirms that they may return to training.

  8. Swimmers will need to remove outdoor footwear on a large poolside mat at the fire exit, before entering poolside.
  9. When the swim session has finished you are now allowed to use the showers and changing room.
  10. We have a max of 7 swimmers per lane, meaning session capacity is 28.

An adult swim session with a max of 20 swimmers, between 4 lanes.  Most weeks, this session will be coached by 2 coaches. The speed for the lanes will be set on the evening depending on the swimmers attending, but there will various speeds for each lane to accommodate members of all abilities. Please bring your pull buoy, kickboard, fins and paddles to every session if you have them. This swim session will consist of a warm up, drills/techniques, main set and cool down. Entrance to the pool will be via the Fire Exit  near bike racks and leave the pool via the Fire Exit at the back of the pool. If driving to the school, try to park in the car park from Albermarle road to avoid being locked in. Swimmers  to arrive swim ready and will be directed by the coach to poolside where they will get changed and enter the pool once instructed. Changing rooms and showers are now available. Do not forget to bring your membership card as it contains emergency contact details as well as medicals. Wednesday Night Run Training session.   All members of all abilities welcome This week will be be about tempo running and 1km efforts,  starting  with  dynamic stretches to warm up, main set of 1km repetitions and then a cool down to include static stretches. Meeting at Dussindale Centre (Sainsburys), Pound Lane, Norwich NR7 0SR a few minutes before 6.30pm. Use Sainsburys car park. These sessions are open to all abilities, please feel free to come along and give them a go. Beccles Lido Swim Training Session  The use of the pool is 3 single lanes to enable members to continue to swim at the lovely lido. There will be 3 lanes,  based on the speeds below. The 3 lanes used by the club are the furthest 3 from the changing room side of the pool. Please note - the heating for the pool will be turned off at the end of October, it will then become non coached cold swim, if members wish to continue, until the temperature drops below 11c, then it will cease, until April/May 2022.  This session will be coached on dates specified by Deborah Lloyd.  A session plan will be available to follow, when a coach is not available, this will include a warm up, drills, main set and cool down. Each lane is based around a time ability per 100m. These are Lane 1    2.10 - 2. 35mins (furthest lane with steps) Lane 2    1.50 - 2.10mins (middle lane of three) Lane 3   1.30 - 1.50mins (last lane of three) These times are approximate and can be subject to change at each session. Swimmers to arrive swim ready and follow the one way system to the chairs at poolside. Outdoor showers and changing rooms will be available after the session. An adult swim session with a max of 20 swimmers, between 4 lanes.  Most weeks, this session will be coached by 2 coaches. The speed for the lanes will be set on the evening depending on the swimmers attending, but there will various speeds for each lane to accommodate members of all abilities. Please bring your pull buoy, kickboard, fins and paddles to every session if you have them. This swim session will consist of a warm up, drills/techniques, main set and cool down. Wednesday Night Run Training session.   All members of all abilities welcome This week will be a riverside warm up, hill repetitions and return riverside cool down.  Meeting outside Pure Gym, Wherry Road, Riverside, Norwich, NR1 1WX. Parking at Riverside or Morrisons (Albion Way). These sessions are open to all abilities, please feel free to come along and give them a go. Wednesday Run Training Session (outside Pure Gym, Wherry Road, Riverside, Norwich NR1 1WX)

Beccles Lido Swim Training Session  The use of the pool is 3 single lanes to enable members to continue to swim at the lovely lido. There will be 3 lanes,  based on the speeds below. The 3 lanes used by the club are the furthest 3 from the changing room side of the pool. Please note - the heating for the pool will be turned off at the end of October, it will then become non coached cold swim, if members wish to continue, until the temperature drops below 11c, then it will cease, until April/May 2022.  This session will be coached on dates specified by Deborah Lloyd.  A session plan will be available to follow, when a coach is not available, this will include a warm up, drills, main set and cool down. Each lane is based around a time ability per 100m. These are Lane 1    2.10 - 2. 35mins (furthest lane with steps) Lane 2    1.50 - 2.10mins (middle lane of three) Lane 3   1.30 - 1.50mins (last lane of three) These times are approximate and can be subject to change at each session. Swimmers to arrive swim ready and follow the one way system to the chairs at poolside. Outdoor showers and changing rooms will be available after the session. All Swimmers need to vacate the Lido by 8.15pm. NOTE The booking list freezes 24 hours before the training session. An adult swim session with a max of 20 swimmers, between 4 lanes.  Most weeks, this session will be coached by 2 coaches. The speed for the lanes will be set on the evening depending on the swimmers attending, but there will various speeds for each lane to accommodate members of all abilities.   10. We have a max of 7 swimmers per lane, meaning session capacity is 28.

Wednesday Night Run Training session.   All members of all abilities welcome This week will be be about changing pace,  starting  with  dynamic stretches to warm up, main set of tempo running and changes of pace and then a cool down to include static stretches. Meeting at Waitrose car park, Eaton at the bottom of the steps by the benches a few minutes before 6.30pm. These sessions are open to all abilities, please feel free to come along and give them a go. Beccles Lido Swim Training Session  The use of the pool is 3 single lanes to enable members to continue to swim at the lovely lido. There will be 3 lanes,  based on the speeds below. The 3 lanes used by the club are the furthest 3 from the changing room side of the pool. Please note - the heating for the pool will be turned off at the end of October, it will then become non coached cold swim, if members wish to continue, until the temperature drops below 11c, then it will cease, until April/May 2022.  This session will be coached on dates specified by Deborah Lloyd.  A session plan will be available to follow, when a coach is not available, this will include a warm up, drills, main set and cool down. Each lane is based around a time ability per 100m. These are Lane 1    2.10 - 2. 35mins (furthest lane with steps) Lane 2    1.50 - 2.10mins (middle lane of three) Lane 3   1.30 - 1.50mins (last lane of three) These times are approximate and can be subject to change at each session. Swimmers to arrive swim ready and follow the one way system to the chairs at poolside. Outdoor showers and changing rooms will be available after the session. An adult swim session with a max of 14 swimmers, between 3 lanes. (Lane 1 Technique Lane) The speed for the lanes will be set on the evening depending on the swimmers attending, but there will various speeds for each lane to accommodate members of all abilities. Please bring your pull buoy, kickboard, fins and paddles to every session if you have them. This swim session will consist of a warm up, drills/techniques, main set and cool down. Entrance to the pool will be via the Fire Exit  near bike racks and leave the pool via the Fire Exit at the back of the pool. If driving to the school, try to park in the car park from Albermarle road to avoid being locked in. Swimmers  to arrive swim ready and will be directed by the coach to poolside where they will get changed and enter the pool once instructed. Changing rooms and showers are now available. Do not forget to bring your membership card as it contains emergency contact details as well as medicals. All swimmers  MUST  complete a Return to Play Form beforehand and be aware of the following procedures  Booking on and attending this Tri-Anglia Swim Session confirm the following:

Wednesday Night Run Training session.   All members of all abilities welcome This week will be be about progressive effort,  starting with dynamic stretches to warm up, main set of progressive efforts by distance &/or ladder training and then a cool down to include static stretches. Meeting at Cinder Track, Henderson Community Park, Ivy Road, Norwich NR5 8BF a few minutes before 6.30pm. Parking at adjacent Henderson Business Centre (follow Ivy Road past the business centre to the car park overlooking the park). Coach contact details: 07885 722030, tony hatton-gore@rewardhr.net The aim of these sessions are for members to build confidence, improve running fitness and technique and help or include with training plans and with the benefit of  training alongside other members of the club.  Each  run session will vary to include, sprint efforts, drills, threshold efforts, hill efforts and tempo/fartlek efforts and out and back runs where you may wish to monitor improvement. These sessions are open to all abilities, please feel free to come along and give them a go. We are fortunate to have experienced run coaches planning the sessions each week, with Tony Hatton-Gore leading them.
