Tuesday Night Run Training session 2023.   All members welcome Tuesday sessions will focus on returning from injury, 5k to 10k runs, technique and progression to longer runs. You may have a target for a a Spring sprint or standard distance triathlon, these sessions will support your personal training plan to achieve this goal. All sessions start with a warm up, dynamic stretches, the main session and then a cool down to include static stretches. Meet at Framingham Earl Sports Centre at 6.20pm. Parking at the sports centre (same location as Framingham Earl High School). Address is  Norwich Rd, Poringland, Norwich NR14 7QP. What3Words location ///hosts.shock.triathlon These sessions are open to all abilities, please feel free to come along and have a go. The aims are for members to build confidence, improve running fitness and technique and to support personal training plans; as well as meeting other members of the club. IMPORTANT. The speed for the lanes will be set by the coach depending on the swimmers attending, but there will be various speeds for each lane to accommodate members of all abilities. As a coached session, coaches instructions need to be followed by all swimmers. If any swimmer during the session is being disruptive and/or disrespectful towards the coach and other swimmers, they will be asked to leave the pool.  Please bring your pull buoy, kickboard, fins and paddles to every session if you have them Meet in the UEA SportsPark reception @ 6:20, and you will be allowed into the changing rooms @ 6:25. Monday Night Track Training.   Members of all abilities welcome These sessions are about progressive effort,  starting with dynamic stretches to warm up, main set of progressive efforts by distance/timed intervals/drills and then a cool down to include static stretches. Meet trackside (end nearest the building) at UEA Sportspark, Norwich NR4 7TJ by 7:40 pm for a prompt start. Admission is free and we have sole use of the track.  We ask for a contribution of £3 per session to assist with the club’s costs. Car parking is free.  Use either the Sportspark or main University car parks and validate ticket (either at machine in entrance hall or at reception) before leaving the building. Bike racks, changing rooms and other amenities are available. These sessions are open to all abilities, please feel free to come along and have a go. The aims are for members to build confidence, improve running fitness and technique and to support personal training plans; as well as meeting other members of the club. Please bring your membership card because it includes your emergency contact details and medical information. Coached Wednesday night bike trainer (turbo) session.  Members of all abilities welcome, must have own bike and turbo. There is an option to hire a club turbo for £5 a month if you are attending these sessions.  These new sessions will run through the winter to improve your bike fitness and cycling efficiency.  Each 6-8 week block will focus on a build phase, with each session having a theme such as pedal efficiency, endurance, power building, cadence and so on. We will be using the Gymnasium at Framingham Sports Centre in Poringland.  This is on the same site as Framingham High School and will be starting at 7pm on a Wednesday evening. The address is: Framingham Earl Sports Centre Norwich Rd, Poringland, NORWICH NR14 7QP Please arrive early, bringing your bike and trainer with you so that we are ready to start on time.  Entry will be via the fire exit, opening onto the new car park so there isn’t far to walk/carry equipment. The new car park can be found by entering the site, forking right upon entry and passing the front of the sports centre (keep it on your right).  Just ahead of you is a newly created car park with the Gymnasium on your right (fire exit doors on this wall). COLD WATER LAKE SWIMMING Saturday 28th January 2023 Following the successful trial on (Saturday 14th January 2023) we are delighted to announce the 1st session on Saturday 28th January 2023, from 08:00 - 09:00. Our aim is for these sessions to be be held weekly during the Winter - subject to demand - and these will follow the same model as the summer open water swim sessions, although with a slightly cooler feel to them! As a coached session, coaches instructions need to be followed by all swimmers. Monday Night Track Training.   Members of all abilities welcome These sessions are about progressive effort,  starting with dynamic stretches to warm up, main set of progressive efforts by distance/timed intervals/drills and then a cool down to include static stretches. Meet trackside (end nearest the building) at UEA Sportspark, Norwich NR4 7TJ by 7:40 pm for a prompt start. Admission is free and we have sole use of the track.  We ask for a contribution of £3 per session to assist with the club’s costs. Car parking is free.  Use either the Sportspark or main University car parks and validate ticket (either at machine in entrance hall or at reception) before leaving the building. Bike racks, changing rooms and other amenities are available. These sessions are open to all abilities, please feel free to come along and have a go. The aims are for members to build confidence, improve running fitness and technique and to support personal training plans; as well as meeting other members of the club. Please bring your membership card because it includes your emergency contact details and medical information. Triathlon Pyramid Challenge 20 mile (ish) Club social ride! 

A great opportunity to complete the shortest of the bike rides for the Triathlon Pyramid Challenge, approximately 20 miles nice steady pace. Coffee stop option available. Meeting point - Framingham Earl Sports Centre. Coffee available at Green Pastures Riders to be confident, bikes to be road worthy and helmets are compulsory. Coached Wednesday night bike trainer (turbo) session.  Members of all abilities welcome, must have own bike and turbo. There is an option to hire a club turbo for £5 a month if you are attending these sessions.  These new sessions will run through the winter to improve your bike fitness and cycling efficiency.  Each 6-8 week block will focus on a build phase, with each session having a theme such as pedal efficiency, endurance, power building, cadence and so on. We will be using the Gymnasium at Framingham Sports Centre in Poringland.  This is on the same site as Framingham High School and will be starting at 7pm on a Wednesday evening. The address is: Framingham Earl Sports Centre Norwich Rd, Poringland, NORWICH NR14 7QP Please arrive early, bringing your bike and trainer with you so that we are ready to start on time.  Entry will be via the fire exit, opening onto the new car park so there isn’t far to walk/carry equipment. The new car park can be found by entering the site, forking right upon entry and passing the front of the sports centre (keep it on your right).  Just ahead of you is a newly created car park with the Gymnasium on your right (fire exit doors on this wall). Car parking is free, there are toilets etc. on site.   This session will utilise your own bike and your own Turbo trainer so please bring them (and anything else you need) with you.  This includes your bike shoes with cleats (if applicable), water and a towel.  If you don’t have a turbo trainer, the club has a limited supply that you can rent for a small fee.  These can then be taken home and used for the duration in addition to being used at these sessions.   Please ensure that you bring your membership cards to each session as these include your emergency contact info and medical information.   These sessions will be coached by Chris Hamlin – 07990 590581 and he will be happy to answer any questions you may have.  Alternatively contact head coach Stephanie Waterman on training@tri-anglia.co.uk   NOTE The booking list freezes 24 hours before the training session.
