It's been several years since we were last allowed to swim to the far end of the lake and back. To commemorate this rare extended area swim we conducted a small race. Those that just wanted to swim one length of the lake made arrange for footwear to be deposited at the far bank to walk back set off early at 8:30 along with those slower swimmers who wanted to do two lengths, then fifteen minutes later the racers set off for the clubs End to End swim race.
Prizes were lined up on the deck for the first swimmers home to claim and winner was Alex McKibben. Well done to her. First male home was Andy Atthowe. Also picking up prizes were Clare Hayne, Mark Nowell, Iain Dawson + Matt Ellis and Lucy Cooper.
